NOTE: SINCE MOVING TO THE TWIN CITIES IN JULY 2024, WE ARE NOT CURRENTLY SETUP FOR STUDIO APPOINTMENTS. KEEP AN EYE ON INSTAGRAM FOR POP-UPS OR REACH OUT FOR LOCATION/SPECIAL PROJECT INQUIRIES.

Some Basic Information (Scroll down to book!)

Don’t see an option that works for you or have questions? Please get in touch!

All sessions (except pop-up events) are held in our home studio in Baltimore, Maryland. Setting up an appointment session is great idea if you'd like more than one portrait, have small children or have a crazy portrait idea. Read on below for more information and appointment booking.

Each appointment includes:

  • At least 30 minutes of studio time (actual time depends on appointment type, reshoots and creative requirements. Pop-up events are shorter and do not usually have a reshoot option unless there is a chemical issue.)

  • A high quality digital scan of the image to share.

  • A small wood shelf stand for each of your final tintypes.

  • Option for mailing or pickup.

Other Options:

Multiple plates can be added to sessions for an additional charge, Sizes can be mixed, so if you want an 8x10 and 4x5, no problem!

Scroll down further for extra-special options, such as glass-plate images and location work.

A few lil’ warnings

All STUDIO appointments use flash in the studio and it is VERY bright. If you have a condition that could be effect by sudden light please use caution. This can also upset some children and/or pets, but in my experience that usually is not an issue.

The flash does mean that the exposure is fairly instant, but all sitters will have to be able to stay put for a few minutes during setup and remain quite still during final focus for about 30 seconds before the last 3-2-1 countdown.

The studio is small, so we cannot really handle anything more than a small family (a few adults and a few kiddos). If you have a group size that you are curious about, please get in touch.

I'm also available for on location shoots. Please fill out the inquiry form and we’ll get back to you with rates, details and probably some follow-up questions.

Extra-Special Options

Some magic offerings that are little more tricky, but also more rare and unique.

Glass Ambrotypes

The same process as the tintype, but on glass instead. There is something even more unique about a photograph on glass, but it is trickier to produce than tintypes. (info page coming soon!)

Outside Portraits

Depending on the weather, we can run sessions outside the studio in the garden. The look is a different sort of beautiful and better for full body images than the studio. (info page coming soon!)

16x20” Mammoth

The biggest offering is quite an endeavor, but incredibly striking. More advance notice and restrictions are necessary with this format, but nothing compares. (coming soon!)

Location Sessions

We can make tintypes wherever you are. There is a minimum rate and charges for greater distances, and some logistics to work out, so please get in touch to setup a quote after checking out the linked info page here (coming soon!)
